Overview
DAV Public School, Sector 14, Faridabad is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 1984, the school operates under the D.A.V. Campus
The 7.5 acre DAV School campus hosts an auditorium with a seating capacity of nearly 1800 people, two conference halls, three well stocked libraries for senior, middle and juniors sections, well equipped labs for physics, chemistry, biology, geography and a well furnished home science laboratory for senior secondary school students.
The school houses eight computer labs with more than 250 computers for classes I to XII, three music rooms, three art rooms - one each for primary, secondary and senior secondary sections, a medical infirmary with a full time doctor and two full time nurses and a state-of-the-art skating rink.
Academics
The school follows the CBSE curriculum and offers education from Preparatory class to class XII. Besides academics, the school considers community service program as an important part of its curriculum and hosts a variety of workshops and marches to sensitize students about the social evils like saving the girl child, women empowerment and gender sensitization. The school also provides underprivileged students with free education during afternoon hours with its own students as volunteers.
The school promotes a special wing for the differently abled children which organizes various events and constructive activities to keep them happily engaged and boost their self esteem.
Admission
Admission to classes prep and LKG usually start in November. The age criteria for admission are 2.5 years for Prep and 3.5 years for LKG as on March 31.
Admission to classes I to IX start in the month of February.
