Overview
Bal Bharati Public School, at Dwarka in New Delhi, is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE). The school offers education up to class XII and belongs to the Child Education Society founded by Padma Vibhushan Lala Hansraj Gupta, an Indian philanthropist.
The school makes a conscious effort to foster love for the country and its heritage. The school is equipped with facilities for digital learning (Educomp’s Smart Class), audio-visual aids, facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, and for creative arts.
Campus
The school campus hosts well-ventilated classrooms, a huge playground, a football field, cricket nets, tennis court, basketball court, athletics track and play area with jungle gym for the juniors, and spacious classrooms. The school also offers indoor games facility. Facilities are provided for cricket, football, tennis, badminton, table tennis, karate, yoga, and athletics.
The school hosts separate, spacious labs for biology, physics, chemistry and computers, besides rooms for music, dance, art and theatre.
Academics
At the pre primary level, the school follows the Montessori method of teaching where children learn in an informal way. Coordinated activities facilitate the physical, mental, emotional and social growth of the child.
At the primary level, students are gradually exposed to formal education and the focus is on acquisition of new knowledge, concept formation and application of knowledge in practical life situations. Stress is laid on "learning by doing" and students are given personal attention and exposed to pictorial books and audio-visual programs. Students are not unduly burdened with homework and are evaluated through their day-to-day work and performance in studies and various curricular and co-curricular activities.
At the middle and secondary level, the focus is to sustain the interest of students in learning. Classroom teaching employs the latest scientific and electronic methods.
The school uses Educomp’s Smart Class with digital aids to make learning effective.
Extracurricular
Students participate in ‘work experience’ projects such as art & painting, best out of waste, origami and meal planning. They also take part in community service, dramatics, elocution, quiz, recitation, debates, group songs, dance and other activities.
Students are coached in cricket, football, tennis, badminton, table tennis, karate, yoga, and athletics.

The school’s admission process begins in the month of January and admission notification is usually published in leading English dailies.

Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka, played host to student delegates from the United Kingdom as part of the British Council's ‘Study India’ program.
