Overview
Established in the year 2009, Bachpan, Banjara Hills offers its young students a fun-filled learning experience delivered by well-trained teachers. Its pedagogy is not based on books alone or the facts therein, it involves many hands-on teaching-learning activities which encourage the quest for knowledge and learning. The school aims to foster the holistic development of each student at all levels -- physical, mental, social and emotional.
Campus
The preschool’s campus is well equipped with a library, audio-visual room, doll room, dining room, art & craft room. Bachpan Banjara Hills is a pioneer in introducing Interactive teaching through Edurite DigiClass.
The school encourages physical activity with a fun splash pool, state of the art mini gym, ballroom, hygienic sandpit and play items such as the trampoline, balancing ring, tunnels, slides, see-saw etc. Colourful classrooms with A/C and safety cameras. music & dance Room have a baby dance floor are other facilities offered.
Academics
The preschool’s curriculum is designed and revised periodically based on global standards. It offers an integrated teaching program that is Indian in its core but on a par with international preschool education pedagogies. Bachpan, Banjara Hills also integrates the advantages of Montessori teaching by providing a Montessori Kit with over 140 teaching aids, tools and toys.
The core learning areas at Bachpan are Oral Language Development -- expressive, receptive and vocabulary; Alphabet Code -- alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness and spellings; Group Dynamics -- games and sports, indoor/outdoor, music and dance.
Sports and extra-curricular are an integral part of the school’s education with every Wednesday being a Sports Day. Children are given an opportunity to play cricket, basketball, bowling, badminton etc. The school also has a grand ‘Annual Sports Day’ celebration, where every child is encouraged to participate in events like the lemon & spoon race, relay etc.
All national, local and religious festivals are celebrated to instil cultural values amongst the children. The school also sensitizes children towards social awareness with activities like ‘Keep Your City Clean’, ‘Sharing at an Orphanage’, ’Each One Plant One’ etc.
The school hosts a ‘Science Fest’ where children take up subjects like saving the environment, magnets, day & night, life cycle of a butterfly, volcanoes, solar system etc. A number of theme-based activities are carried out to make the children understand, correlate and apply the various concepts. For example-Animal Theme is supplemented by the celebration of Animal Day, a visit to a pet store and ‘Show & Tell’ Day making learning fun and easy for the children.
Door-to-door transport is also provided and charged as per the distance.
Admission
Age criteria:
Nursery – 2 years by 31st March
LKG – 3 years by 31st March
UKG – 4 years by 31st March.
For children below 2 years of age, a Pre Nursery or Play Group (PG) is offered, which allows the children ample amount of time to get settled and feel comfortable with the school environment, before they start Nursery
The school does not conduct any formal interview at the time of admission but the head of this institute has a "conversation" with parents. Parents are also shown around the campus and explained about various facilities available and teaching methods.
Fee Structure: Tuition fees plus the books and the uniform kit is as follows:
Play Group: Tuition – Rs. 30000 + Books & Uniform – Rs. 2700
Nursery: Tuition – Rs. 32000 + Books & Uniform – Rs. 2750
LKG: Tuition – Rs. 32000 + Books & Uniform – Rs. 3050
UKG: Tuition – Rs. 32000 + Books & Uniform – Rs. 3050

Last date for Admission: The last date for submission of forms for admission to LKG and UKG is 31st July. Thereafter, transfer cases are reviewed on a case to case basis depending on the seats still available at that time.
