Overview
Founded in 1998, Biju Pattanaik Film & Television Institute of Odisha is an autonomous institute named after Late Biju Patnaik - an eminent Indian politician who served as the chief minister of Odisha for two terms. Biju Pattnaik Film & Television Institute of Orissa (BPFTIO) was established under the World Bank assisted scheme to meet the emerging demand of well-trained technical manpower in the field of television network and film production.
Campus
BPFTIO occupies an independent space in the sprawling campus of Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE), Cuttack the oldest Engineering school of the state.
Academics
The institute offers three-year diploma courses in Cinematography, Sound and TV. Engineering (Audiography) and Film and Video Editing.
