Overview
Asha Kiran Special Needs School, Bangalore is a school for children with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, hearing impairment, mental challenges, slow learners and children from an economically weaker background.
The school aims to provide the highest standard of education and assist in the overall development of the child and to give children vocational training so that they are equipped to find means of living when they grow up.
Asha Kiran, the Special Needs School, was registered as a charitable trust under the Trust Act of India in Bangalore.
Campus
The school hosts a four floor building and a large playground surrounded by mango trees and fresh air. It provides a congenial environment for the mental, physical, spiritual and emotional growth of every child.
The school hosts a counselling room, art room, kitchen, teacher’s room, dining hall, classrooms, Speech and Therapy room, auditorium and administrative block, well resourced library, audiovisual/computer lab, maths lab, composite science lab, dormitories that accommodate 50 boarders, and a common room.
Accomodation
The school provides boys' and girls' hostels.
Academics
The school is accredited by the National Institute of Open Schooling, under, “Special Accredited Institutions for the Education of the Disadvantaged” [SAIED], Government of India, at par with the CBSE Board. It caters to the educational needs from pre-school through class XII.

Admission
In each academic year, admission process runs from November to March. The admission process is as follows:
1. Call the admission’s office to arrange a date and time for a tour of the school.
2. Transfer Certificate and diagnostic records from previous schools will be requested directly from the school.
3. Prescribed application form for admission.
4. Birth certificate.
5. Psychological & Educational Assessment done by any reputable psychologist.
6. Passport size photographs (6 stamp size photographs in addition for nursery students).
