Overview
Founded in 1990, Army Public School, Hisar is an English medium coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It offers classes from class I through XII.
APS Hisar was set up with the mission to impart quality education to the children of army personnel at affordable cost. Besides offering formal academic education, the children are encouraged to embrace Indian culture and values.
Campus
The school campus hosts well-equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, three Computer labs equipped with 60 computers interconnected with LAN, Art & Craft room, well equipped first-aid kit and a sick room, and a well-stocked library featuring a wide collection of general and reference books.
Accomodation
Being a day school, it does not offer accommodation facility.
Academics
Affiliated with CBSE, APS Hisar offers schooling from class I through XII.
The subjects offered include:
Class I - V: English, Hindi, Mathematics, E.science, General Studies, Value Education, Art Education, Work Experience and Computer Science.
Class VI - X: English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, General Sciences, Value Education, Art Education, Work Experience, Physical Education and Computer Science.
Class XI - XII: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, Biology, Economics, Accountancy, Bussiness Studies, Music and Physical Education.
APS encourages students to participate in various sports, cultural activities, music, art and craft, house, and club activities.
Admission
New admissions are made till July 31.
Admission to children of serving Army personnel coming on transfer from out station can be made at any time during the year and they will not be denied admission, subject, however, to the stipulation laid down by the CBSE in Classes IX-XII.
Admission of civilian children to Army Public Schools should not be at the cost of children of Army personnel; the latter will never be refused admission.
Fees – Monthly tuition fee is as follows:
Class I to V – Rs. 1470/-
Class VI to X – Rs. 1710/-
Class XI – XII – Rs. 1910/-
