Overview
Amity University, Manesar, Gurgaon was established under the Haryana Act 10 of 2010.
The university was founded by Ashok Chauhan, the founder of the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation. Amity University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Over the years, 30,000 Amity students have secured on-campus placements in MNCs and top organisations. The university boasts 2,500 faculty members led by 11 former vice chancellors, former chairman of UGC and vice chairman of AICTE. Leading corporate professionals with rich industry experience comprise the visiting faculty group.
Campus
The 110 acre Amity University campus provides multi-cultural environment with the presence of students from across India and more than 15 countries who shares diversity of regions, ethnicities, flavours and cuisines giving them global outlook.
Amity University campus hosts spacious and air-conditioned class rooms which offer conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions. All classrooms are designed in amphitheatre style and designed to bring together analysis with action. The classrooms are augmented with integrated audio-visual teaching aids for lectures and presentations.
The syndicate rooms provide the perfect setting to acquire team skills through exercises such as brain-storming sessions, group discussions and role-plays.
Amity University hosts state-of-the heart auditoriums which can accommodate 1000 persons and act as a common ground for students, faculty and corporate personalities for regular interfaces, conferences and other events.
The university library features online journals and Amity students have access to world’s best online journals such as Cambridge University Press, Springer, Oxford University Press, IEEE /IEE Electronic Library, Ebsco Host, UGC-Infonet, INDEST-AICTE, IS1 and Delnet.
The 20 acre sport complex offers play area, 8-layer ultra-cushion synthetic tennis courts, football field, lawn tennis court, horse riding academy, volleyball court, gymnasium equipped with most-modern fitness machines, squash courts built to international standards, and football field.

Amity University offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Hostel facilities include bookshop, stationary shop, laundry service, departmental store, cafeteria and food court.
