Overview
Amiown – The Caring Preschool, located at Pushp Vihar, New Delhi is a part of the Amiown chain of preschools promoted in 2005 by the Amity Group, a leading global education group known for its academic excellence. Today, Amiown schools are spread across Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Hyderabad.
Amiown primarily aims at fulfilling and nurturing the various needs of each child and ensuring that they are able express themselves freely. The preschool aims at providing a comfortable and conducive environment during the critical years of the child’s development, with an easy access to learning materials, thus instilling in them a sense of self learning and independence needed for their holistic development. The teachers at Amiown are regularly trained on the latest teaching methods, practices and safety standards for the safety and convenience of the children.
Campus
The preschool offers a very encouraging learning atmosphere for children with child-centric materials for the children to work with, designed as per the strict guidelines set up by the experts. The school campus offers excellent teaching-learning facilities with well furnished air conditioned class rooms, play rooms, crèche, as well as plenty of outdoor playing equipments maintained in a proper manner. The school also provides day care, nutritious meals, transportation and medical facilities for the convenience and safety of the children.
Academics
Amiown - The Caring Preschool, Pushp Vihar offers schooling for the infants, toddlers, pre nursery and nursery and follows best practices inspired by the Montessori Method, Reggio Emilla Approach, Multiple Intelligences Theory and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The school curriculum at includes infant and toddler programme known as Amicots and Amitots that concentrates on a child's sensorial development through multi sensory teaching-learning techniques. The school activities include free play, circle time, creative arts and story-telling needed for the social and emotional development and improving their speech and language skills. The curriculum for pre-nursery and nursery classes include activities such as singing, dancing, story-telling, simple exercises, drama and other various innovative plays.
The school has also introduced the concept of communication between parents and children by way of Amiown Kahaani Tree, where children and parents communicate through story-telling, reciting and enacting the stories with the help of art and craft and other scientific story-telling techniques.
School hours are from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm.
Crèche hours are from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Age Criteria
The age criteria are as follows:
Amicots - 9 months to 14 months
Amitots - 1.5 years to 2 years
Pre Nursery - 2 years plus
Nursery - 3 years plus
Fee
The average monthly school fee is Rs. 6500 (tuition) + 1,200 for meal.
