Overview
Founded in 1981, AmarJyoti Research and Rehabilitation Centre runs under the aegis of AmarJyoti Charitable Trust, a voluntary organisation rendering rehabilitative services to persons with disabilities through a holistic approach of inclusive education, medical care, vocational training, child guidance and self-employment.
The school's mission and vision is to provide equal opportunities and full participation to persons with disabilities.The school in Delhi is supported by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
Campus
The entire campus is equipped with tactile path, ramps, loop induction and disabled friendly bus for school students.

The centre provides accommodation facilities for students.

Institute of Physiotherapy, School for Inclusive Education, Teachers Training Centre for Special Education, Orthotic and Prosthetic Workshop, Vocational Training Centre, Child Guidance Centre, Medical Care Centre
AmarJyoti Charitable Trust offers the following courses in special education recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI):
1. Diploma in Special Education – Mental Retardation (D.Ed.SE –MR) – Regular 2 year (4 semesters) with an intake of 30 students per batch.
2. Diploma in Special Education – Deaf & Hard of Hearing (D.Ed.SE –DHH) – Regular 2 year (4 semesters) with an intake of 30 students per batch.
3. Diploma in Special Education – Early Childhood in Mental Retardation (D.EC.SE –MR) – Regular 1 year (2 semesters) with an intake of 25 students per batch.
Short Term Courses
Ten day programme on “Understanding Learning Difficulties”.
Ten day programme on “Understanding Disabilities and Specific Needs”
Five day programme on “Multi Category Disability”
Three day programme on “Communication options for the Education of Children with Hearing & Speech Impairment
AmarJyoti is NIOS accredited for IIIrd, Vth, VIIIth, Xth and XIIth standards and conducts the following NIOS accredited vocational courses:

Achievements
AmarJyoti Research &Rehabilitation Centre has been awarded with two national awards - for innovative approaches for the rehabilitation of persons with disability and for creating barrier-free environment for elders and persons with disability.
The centre has been awarded with Hong Kong Foundation Award for the best institution rendering rehabilitative services.
